Park is located between two public roads but is still quiet. Most of the sites were closed down and the park will shut down completely 11-7. Very clean and neat. Only 2 washers/dryers but very clean. Sites fairly close together but very long, nice pull thrus. A little pricey even with Good Sam discount.

This park is cheaper than the only other place with hookups (Wahweap). The sites are unlevel front to back, side to side is usually pretty good. Nice view to the east with red rocks. Half the campground are 'perms' but anyone staying over a month has to go through a police check. Pool, spa, and laundry facilities are nice. They are making improvement to some of the campsites and building a wall in the back area. Nice trees. Would stay again.

Fantastic views of beautiful cliffs and the green Colorado river. Some good size pull throughs but not level at all. The beauty and serenity was marred only by the park service putting in new water lines. So it was an asphalt cutting saw powered by a large generator running in and around the campground from 7 am to 4:30 pm daily with a lunch break. A black cloud in paradise!!

Really nice, clean well kept camp. Lots of grass and trees. Was unable to get satellite because of a bushy tree. Pull thrus are long and adequate. Backins also looked good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful area with lots to do. Park is in the corner of Hwy 24 and 12 so some road noise but pretty quiet at night. If you have kids, there is a concrete basketball court and big fire pit area. Good water pressure.

Really nice location with easy walking to rim trail, visitors center, camp store. Most RV sites are fairly level and lots of big sites to choose from if you are early. Plenty of trees for shade and interior roads in decent condition. All sites with picnic tables and fire pits. Camp hosts very friendly and helpful. Awesome scenery

I stayed here 4 years ago and the management has changed since then. The campground is definitely worse! The rates are much higher (they were Passport American before) and the sites have not been improved or changed. It is on a terraced hillside and alot of the sites are very unlevel. They are narrow. They do have a nice pool area, laundry (although I was accosted by a worker when heading to do laundry and asked "are you registered here??"). Other activities also that I had no interest in. I had orginally reserved 16 nights as they said they were booked and I could not get 3 weeks (21 nights). When I arrived, I asked if there were any vacanicies and if I could stay 21 nights. I was told there were vacancies but the manager would have to be asked to authorize an 'extended stay'. The next day, I was told that I could not stay any longer than 16 days. This is at a $40 a night rate with no discounts!! The front desk told me that they had 'just about gotten rid of the riff-raff in the park and could not allow extended stays' I was asked twice if my stay was 'vacation or something else'. I am a full timer. I found several encounters with the personnel in the park to be unhelpful and unfriendly. My truck and fifth wheel are very clean and less than 4 years old, hardly what anyone would call 'riff-raff'! Several of the employees and camphosts have very old and unkempt campers with junk all over their campsite. There are also several old ratty campers that are occuping spots with no one staying in them. I was very displeased in general and will not stay here again. It is 50 miles and a good 45 minute drive to Yosemite Valley.

Has a great view of the lake due to an electric/water only and no cable site...no full hookups available. Camp very clean and orderly. I was able to get DirectTV well (no trees at my site) and Verizon card worked great. No ATT cell service. Only problem I had was the campground rule of no checkins until 100PM. My site was available at 930 but no dice. They explained they needed the time to cut grass and water, neither of which was done (nor needed) at my site. So I sat at the visitors center for 4 1/2 hours as they wouldn't let me stay in their driveway area. Also, this meant that 5 campers were all trying to check in at the same time with some out in the highway. Also, this camp doesn't do credit cards, so bring checks or cash

Nice big sites, plenty of room on the sides. All gravel area with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. But just the basics, full hookups. I did have wifi (a little weak). No Verizon or ATT service. 60 miles (Ely)to the nearest real grocery store so stock up before spending any time here. Great Basin NP the only reason to spend more than overnight here but the park is well worth a few days.

Pretty expensive, even with a weekly rate. Road noise and train tracks keep it from being very quiet. But you are very close to the dune access areas and beaches. The sites are close together on the hookup side but there is nice grass and picnic tables. Park is very clean and well maintained. The heated pool and spa are excellent. Most sites appear to be very level. Verizon and ATT access good

Rate reflects a weekly, discounted one. Very nice large shady trees with lots of hummingbirds and acorn woodpeckers. Full hookup sites are paved, but pavement varies greatly among the sites. Some new concrete, others very broken. Nice affordable option from the coastal camping and quiet. Lots of room with most sites. Lots of speed bumps. Had good service with Verizon and ATT.

This is a very quiet shaded park right on the river. The previous rating said this park was mostly long term but that is not correct. There is an area of mobile homes but the main campground is regular campers. In fact, this campground has a 14 day limit. Lots of tress so manoeuvrings can be difficult if you are a really big rig. I was able to get around fine with a 38 foot fifth wheel. There is a swimming hole at the river. There is currently only wifi at the office but they say it will soon be all over the park. The camp hosts are very friendly, very helpful and hard working.

An excellent park with large sites quite a distance from each other. It is full on most weekends but you have it to yourself almost during the week. Several very large dairy ranches to the east that will almost gag you if the wind is blowing from that way and you are in the eastern campsites. There is lots of grass, trees and open space which makes up for the occasional smell. The sprinkler system timer seems odd (700 PM on Friday??). Time in camp limited to 14 days in a 30 day period so there is no long term junk around. It is very good value for the bucks! We had great reception with ATT and verizon.

Pick your site carefully as there are huge differences in where you are. Some of the F loop have no grass and are 3 and 4 abreast like a parking lot. LOTS of 'perms' with LOTS of junk everywhere. LOTS and lots of rules also (a whole page worth which you have to sign that you got) but no one in the park seems to pay any mind at all to them. Fairly pricey for what you get. A lot of sites have good room between sites and very nice grass. The F loop seemed to be full of loud talking rednecks. Some very nice views and great hill top locations but level sites are rare. Some work being done in A loop, which currently has very narrow roads and narrow sites.

This campground does have sewer uphooks if you want to pay the 'premium price'. I felt it was too much but they said no other sites were available for my size rig. Wifi works but you will probably only be able to get it in the 'premium sites'. I have an ongoing problem with these campgrounds that call themselves a resort. This one has a horseshoe pit and that is it! I think that resorts have swimming pools, spas, etc. A lot of the sites are unlevel. The good is that the surrounding views are very nice. The grounds of the campground are pretty with lots of flowers and greenery. The peacocks are beautiful but they are loud at night. But still too expensive for what you get and my rate was a weekly one.

Easy to access off interstate, this park has many permanent residents with lots of older RVs. Some sites fairly close together, and some sites are hard to get into. Most sites that I saw required some leveling. There are nice big shade trees and lots of big speed bumps. There are lots of poles and large rocks protecting the grass so maneuver with care. Swimming pools are very nice, one heated and the other not. All in all, a little run down and lots of people and cars everywhere. But the rate was good with weekdays on Passport America. Would stay again.

Definitely one of the nicer places to stay in the area. Very clean, nice landscaping, good views, large sites. Most of the campground ('resort') are privately owned lots so don't expect much in the nature of friendliness! The staff are very helpful and friendly however. The pool and hot tub were very nice. The park is a little pricey if you are watching a budget. Lots and LOTS of rules.

This reflects a weekly rate. This is a very nice park 4 miles from the Joshua Tree NP entrance. It is the typical desert park with a sandy surface. There are some trees between a lot of the sites but not much for shade. Views of the surrounding area are great. The small lake (us easterners would call it a 'pond') is very nice with lots of birds, ducks and fishing available for a fee. The sites are terraced so a pull thru has a small hump to go over. They have fire pits and firewood (a little expensive) for sale. The Wi-Fi was accessible but a little weak the further you get from the office area.

Very nice park with some shade in the desert! Fairly large sites with trees between. Swimming pool and spa are in progress with expected completion 2010. This park is closed June - End of Sept. Very close to the Ocotillo off road area and 15 or so miles from Anza-Borrego state park. About 30 miles from Salton Sea. Laundry area with reasonable rates and very clean. Park owners and staff very friendly and helpful. New Wi-Fi system put in while I was there and it works well. Much better than nearby RV parks, which look like wild west towns. Has a dog fenced area. The bad: could not get cellphone reception on ATT, Verizon, or Sprint.

Amount reflects monthly rate. Camp is clean and orderly but the sites are very close together. There are concrete pads but they are not necessarily level. No picnic tables and moderate water pressure. If you have a fifth wheel, make sure that you get a site with the site across from you is vacant. That is about the only way you will be able to back in. The hot tub is very nice and the laundry room clean. But this is really like a parking lot camping. Beautiful views to the south if you can see them around the other campers.

High desert area park, beautiful views of the mountains around Albuquerque with great sunrises and sunsets. Plenty of room this time of year with fairly level sites. Nice laundry with pool table and exchange book collection. Very disappointed that the hot tub was shut down for the winter (THIS is when you really want it!) along with the swimming pool. Close to town and stores. Have stayed here several times

This reflects a weekly rate. Nice scenery from the camper, all gravel sites. The water connections were insulated already. Lots to do in the area, fantastic scenery. Not as scenic as the Waheap campground but cheaper.

I have traveled full time for 4 years and this is the worst campground I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. It was like camping in a very muddy noisy junkyard. Drive thru the night if you have to to avoid this one. I broke my cardinal rule of paying before looking at the camping facility and I won't do it again. I had planned to stay in a campground that I had already checked out before Memphis but decided to drive on thru Memphis and avoid the morning traffic. I-40 is within sight and several major truck stops just across the road so don't count on a good nights sleep. I wish I had stopped at the Wal-Mart 20 miles earlier. Even free camping at Shell Lake would be a ripoff.

Bathrooms older, but clean. Bathhouse is a long walk from the tent sites, but right next to the RVs! What's up with that?? Tent sites were big and private from each other due to lots of woods, but you could still hear the Florida rednecks playing their music way too loud. The campground security never seemed to drive by when this was happening. Lots to do in the area. The river was amazing for paddling, and of course, the manatee are worth the visit alone.

Paid Passport America rate but you also have to pay $8 to get into the park. Campground is old and the interior roads full of holes and bumps. a lot of the sites are small and weird shapes for larger RVs. Staff is helpful but some are not very RV literate. Lots to do in the park and very woodsy but you may have trouble with sat reception. Park Wi-Fi is expensive and difficult to get unless you are close to the office. This is about your only choice of a park if you want to be in the north Atlanta area

Entrance is set back and easy to miss. Gravel sites are fairly level, some more than others, some tight spots to maneuver around. Wi-Fi worked very well and free. Very close to trails and river for recreation. Staff friendly and helpful.

Excellent, excellent facility! Bathhouse is top notch, sites are very large for the Smoky Mtn area, very level, beautiful valley. Swimming pool area is very nice. This is one of the few RV 'resorts' that can truly call itself a resort. The weekend BBQ is incredibly good and very inexpensively priced. The only complaint I have is that the water pressure is barely adequate. Everything else is well thought out and well excuted. But have long hoses and connections as all of the hookups are are the end of your camping area

Right off I-40 so expect some noise unless you are in the back. The pool and spa were AWESOME to use after a day of traveling. Very clean and sparkling! Lots of nice trees but dirt surface (this IS the west after all!) Very convenient overnight stop

I rarely stay at KOAs, as they are just way too expensive for a cheap full timer. BUT I was tired of driving, and didn't want the extra 20 miles off interstate to hit the local Passport America campground. This CG was very clean, lots of grass and trees, level gravel sites, easy to drive in and out. Some noise level as right off I-40. The pool was very clean and very refreshing.

It was an OK overnight stop. Far enough away from I-40 so the noise wasn't bad. Nice pool. Gravel sites with grass and trees. Wouldn't stay for other than overnight.

Lots of grass (alot of mowing going on!), some trees and fairly roomy sites where I was placed. I stayed two days and at $48 for that, using Passport America and Good Sam's, it was a little pricey! Nice clean pool. The I-40 freeway is close enough that there is plenty of noise and there is construction which makes finding the campground a little difficult. Campground is either full time residents or overnighters, but all is very neat and well kept.

I had a sloping site so somewhat difficult to level but also had a great view of the red rocks and roadrunners! Office staff somewhat scattered and disorganized but nice park and much cheaper than Wahweap. Will definitely stay again.

Really nice and shady park in the Zion National Park. Some sites very near the river. This is first come, first serve with no reservations. Park staff is excellent, knowledgeable and very helpful.
